I’m married. I’ve been married for almost a week now, actually. Let me begin by saying wow! I’m so glad the stress of wedding planning is over!
The day of the wedding seemed to go by so slowly, until the ceremony. Everything after that went by so quickly, and it’s nothing but a blur to me, honestly. I remember shaking as I walked down the aisle; I also remember not noticing anything (people or decorations– things that I stressed over way too much) until after the ceremony. I was focused on Josh, completely, and the big smile that was on his face. He has this nervous giggle, and I could see that look on his face, and it made my heart melt. Josh never cries, but I could see tears filling his eyes. Happy tears. There were a few minor glitches during the ceremony, but I didn’t even care anymore. The look on Josh’s face and in his eyes made me forget every single thing around me.
After the ceremony, we had pictures taken (which I will post as our photographer gets them to us), and everything became so chaotic. Before, I had wanted to spend every moment at the reception, but once we were married, I just wanted to be alone with Josh (which didn’t happen until later that night, when we went to our hotel suite).
Our honeymoon was so relaxing, and I didn’t want to leave. In fact, we’re thinking about moving to Asheville one day. Possibly. It was just our kind of town. Coffee shops, cafes, beautiful weather, great food and art… Everything was wonderful.
I may post more details later (if you’d like for me to), but for now, I’ll leave you with some of the unprofessional photos that were taken during the day.
