I’ve taken the plunge–I bought a domain! My blog is now at somewhatvoluble.com! (update your readers!) I’m still hosting with wordpress, as you can see, for the time being. For the future, what are your suggestions for a place to host? Eventually, I’d like to merge my blog and my photoblog.

I know, I know. Two posts in one day?! But this is for something good! Lately, I’ve been IN LOVE with video blogs. I just enjoy watching them; I think it’s fun to actually SEE the personality of the blogger. In fact, I’ve been wanting to vlog so much lately, I’ve even resorted to TRYING to record something on my cell phone. Too bad it’ll only hold a video that is, like, 30 seconds long. So, that’s where it gets tricky. You see, I do not have a webcam nor do I have a video camera of any sort, so all you get is my writing. However, there is an opportunity to win a Flip Video Camera from Alice! I’ve entered, and I think you should too–because who doesn’t like a little healthy competition? 
The question is: “What household product are you most loyal to and why?” Well, I’m here to proudly say that I LOVE Charmin Ultra Strong toilet paper. Josh and I started buying it when we lived in our apartment, and we haven’t stopped buying it since. His mom buys a different kind of toilet paper, and every time we run out (when she buys it), I’m sure to go out of my way to buy the next pack, and I make sure it’s Charmin. I mean, strong AND soft? That’s my kind of paper.

Over the weekend, I was covered in speckles of white paint. Josh and I, along with his grandad, painted the basement (*ahem*apartment, as I like to call it now) with white sealer to keep the moisture out. I’m pretty excited that we (nearly) finished! Josh will be finishing the second coat on the last wall today before putting up the insulation and 2×4′s. After that, we’ll be pulling wires and drywalling it, THEN painting that–I’m thinking a sage color for the bedroom and a light grey for the living room & kitchen! We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I’m looking forward to getting it all done. Anyway, I have pictures*!
The following is of the kitchen area. We’ll have a fridge, counter space, and a sink against the far wall (that we’ll be building). Across from that (the yellow line to the left), there will be a bar with stools, so we’ll have a place to enjoy our meals. We’ll also be putting a small stove against the wall, along with putting in cabinets, and we’ll have laminate floors.
The next image is right next to the kitchen, which is where our living room will be. We’ll be carpeting this area.
The next image is of our bedroom. It will have an entrance from the living room, and we plan to put a 6′ closet in with sliding doors. This area will also be carpeted.
It’s hard to tell from the pictures, but the entire space is approximately 600 sq. ft. of floor space… so it really will be like a small apartment! As we gain progress, I’ll continue to post pictures. I have high hopes for what it will look like in the end! We’ll also have a bathroom, but it will be another place in the basement that we haven’t started working on yet (aside from the plumbing already being ran), so that will be on a later date.
