Obviously, it’s Monday. I’m a day late, so what. I simply forgot to schedule a post for yesterday, and I wasn’t near the computer often.
I’m sure I’m not the only one with a crush on LiLu. Obviously, she’s awesome, and her TMI Thursdays make me gag and laugh at the same time. (Yes, it’s completely awkward.) Every Friday, she posts about the shiz her boyfriend says, and it’s usually hilarious. It’s honestly hard to read her blog while at work because it always makes me laugh out loud. There are also times where I’m found saying “awww” because she and B are so cute! And then, there was the time she did the Stanky Legg dance. I had no words. (Okay, it was also hilarious.) By this point, you must love LiLu, too.
Who is your blog crush?

The winner of my Blogoversary Giveaway is Ellie! Thanks to everyone who entered! I wish I could give you all a beautiful journal! Don’t worry, though–there will be more giveaways in the future.
Everyone in the blogosphere has been doing the “Here & Now” pics, so I figured it was only a matter of time before I got tagged. Courtney ended up tagging me, so I took a picture (it’s cell phone quality, people) of myself. No makeup (I never even wear makeup), no photoshop. If you look close enough, you can even see that I’m breaking out a little on my chin. And yes, I have freckles. (Also, for some reason, my eyebrow looks really screwed up. Hah!)

The fun part? I get to tag some people so that we can see what they REALLY look like. I’m tagging: Jordyn, Je, Ellie, Alana, LiLu, Phampants, and anyone else who wants to do it (because I know a lot of the people on my blogroll are anonymous, so it’s hard to pick some).

One year ago today, I began Somewhat Voluble. I had journals/diaries before, and I enjoyed writing in my Xanga (which is actually where I met my husband). After that faded, there was a long period of time that I didn’t write at all (except the occasional post on my Myspace page).
When I got engaged in November 2007, and I began planning my wedding soon after, I decided I needed a place to organize my thoughts. So, I created a blog on Blogspot. Though I liked it, I eventually became bored with it (read: just weeks later), and that’s when I found wordpress. And here I am. It started with “Breathless” (which is a post that has been featured on Indie Bloggers [no longer online] and Tweny-Something Writers.
I was exactly two months away from my wedding day, and to put it mildly, I was scared shitless. I was nineteen at the time, and I needed a place to vent my feelings. Plus, I missed writing. After some time, I became bored with this blog, so there was a point where I stopped writing in it all together. After I turned twenty (December 2008), I joined 20sb. That’s when I started to really get back into blogging, and I realized that it was all about the community, too. Since then, I bought my own domain, and I eventually (umm, last week?) bought my own host. This blog has become a HUGE part of me.
So, here I am. Two months away from my one-year anniversary of being married. I’m not scared shitless anymore. I’m not even that afraid of the future. Honestly, I know I have this blog to thank for that.

(If you haven’t already, there’s ONE DAY LEFT to enter my Blogoversary Giveaway!)

Yes, I realize it’s Thursday. However, I’m doing my “It’s Okay Friday” a day early since tomorrow is my Blogoversary. A better post will be dedicated to tomorrow.
It’s okay to…
-be somewhat relieved that your husband didn’t get the third shift job (he may be getting another one, though) because you don’t want to sleep alone at night.
-be overly upset because you’re still living in your in-law’s house, even after almost a year of marriage. (It’s good not to have many bills, though.)
-have to make yourself get out of bed in the morning.
-be completely in awe of the power of Twitter. (@Etsy tweeted about my giveaway yesterday, and I received 100+ comments after that.)
-lay in your husband’s arms for an extra five minutes every morning, even if it does make you a little late.
-worry every month that you’re pregnant (though you know you’re not), then be slightly disappointed when your period comes. (Nowhere near ready to have children, just so you know. That’ll be years down the road.)
-buy a Flip Mino for vlog-making … and three weeks later, have no vlogs made. (I need ideas, people. Maybe I’ll do a Q&A for my first one? Maybe I could get people to vote like Skinny Bitch does?)
What are your “It’s Okays” for the week?
