So, it’s May. Not quite sure how that happened. It’s okay to…
-eat a bowl of chocolate ice cream after walking & riding your bicycle a total of 2-3 miles in ninety degree weather.
-get your hopes up for a car that you might get. (We’ll see for sure this weekend, I suppose.)
-leave work early every once in a while.
-go through McDonald’s in the morning for an egg mcmuffin and a fruit & yogurt parfait. (‘Cause I did yesterday.)
-dart out of bed at 11:59pm (thinking it’s 5:45am) and start straightening your hair. (Husband came in from the bathroom, said “what are you doing?” Me: Getting ready for work. Him: It’s midnight. Me: Um. What? Yeah. Yeah, it was.)
-wake up three hours later and say something to your husband before realizing that you’re half-asleep and have no idea what you’re talking about.
-wake up a couple hours later (at 5:45 for real this time) and start shaking your husband (again, half-asleep) because you think he’s not breathing.
-realize that Wednesday night/Thursday morning, something must have been wrong with your brain. Or maybe you were just really tired.
-go to bed earlier on Thursday night. (Oh, who am I kidding. No way that happened since it was Grey’s Anatomy night!)
What are your “It’s Okay’s” this week?

It’s okay to…
* decide that since it’s raining I don’t have to go the gym and instead laze about in sweatpants, with a book, my dog and boyfriend
* not eat during the day because you keep forgetting your breakfast & lunch at home
* go into work 30 minutes late just one day this week because your allergies are seriously attempting to kill you
* be overly excited for a night to yourself since your boyfriend has to work late and perhaps even choose to not be social so that you can enjoy the gym, a turkey sandwich and a few hours of Felicity courtesy of Netflix (as that will likely be me tonight)
* be incredibly exhausted for no apparent reason.
It’s ok to buy yourself flowers when you’re single just because you want something pretty to sit on your desk
It’s ok to…
- Wake up early, because your body is trained that way, when you have no where to be that morning (that was this morning).
- Stare at a juicy (almost bad) tomato wondering if you can salvage it for that perfect omelet breakfast early in the morning.
- Go to the mailbox every single day hoping that that day your new Food Network magazine will be waiting for you in the box.
- Take your Border coupon for 40% one book to the store and end up buying two books, one of which was not on sale.
- Not want to do laundry just because the pile has gotten THAT high.
I’m full of these today. I might need to make a post about it. Though I can’t begin a new weekday routine, Friday’s already taken and I have too many things going on.
- stay out way later than you wanted because you just can’t make yourself leave him.
- seriously laught out loud and the office creep for his burping and extreme sweating and heavy breathing after he’s only been gone 10 minutes!
- ignore P because you are just really still pissed off.
it’s okay to shamelessly flirt with a totally cute guy you work with for 10 mins straight and him not even realize you’re flirting!
Hahahaha, that is so funny that you started straightening your hair at midnight!!
It’s OK to eat Nutella right out of the can.
It’s OK to take a 3-hour nap on a Thursday afternoon with your kitty!
