I’m back (I think)

by Megan on November 5, 2009

I haven’t blogged in over a week. I was prepared to apologize, but I won’t; I think you can understand. Sometimes, we just need a break from the internet world, even if we don’t realize it. Last night, I realized I had only tweeted a few times in a three-day period. I guess my brain/body said, “hey, let’s take a break from the internet for a bit. Let’s look at the real world.” (Not that the internet doesn’t involve real people, but you get what I’m saying, right?) I honestly have no idea what to write even as I’m here now, but my mind is telling me to just write.

I had an interview yesterday. I mentioned a while back that the company I work for is losing their contract with the place I work at (confusing?). So, I had an interview with the company that will be taking its place. I should hear something in the next two weeks, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. This looks like a good opportunity for me; I’ll finally have insurance (yay!) and paid vacation time (double yay!).

School is going well; I’ll be able to register for next semester’s classes soon, and I’m looking forward to that. I just can’t wait to get my general classes out of the way so that I’m able to dive into more psychology classes. I also can’t wait to get my Associate’s degree out of the way so that I can transfer to get my Bachelor’s, and eventually, my Master’s. Oy.

For the past week, I’ve felt a little out of it, but I think I’m coming back into myself. It’s about time, too. I need to focus on holiday decorations and Christmas shopping. ;)

Hopefully you get the job! I got an email from Ronnie’s company saying that I am qualified and that they will be interviewing people soon for a January start. I really hope I get it, we need the money! How many classes are you taking next semester? I only have 2 classes available next semester, ack.

No need to apologize. Sometimes you need to take a break. Welcome back and good luck on the job!

GOod luck with the job! I’ve been away from my blog a lot more lately because I’m up to my ears in this job-search ridiculousness. It’s more exhausting than I could have ever imagined and, also, I have nothing else to talk about.
