I am starting to think about my resolutions, too. And this post made me even MORE excited about starting the Joy Equation this weekend! Can't wait!

The second one is pretty much what I spend all of my time doing. Oh, the joys of studying theology!

I love that you're making these resolutions before the new year :) PLEASE let me know how you get on with yoga! I just bought a DVD, but I'm kind of a noob at it too - best of luck with everything!

I took a Religions of the World class over the summer in undergrad and I *loved* it. It enlightened me in ways I didn't realize was possible and I learned a lot at the same time. I think to an extent, when it comes to religion, ignorance isn't bliss. I feel it's good to know what's what/who's who/and why they feel that way.

Good for you on not biting your nails! =)

The only yoga I've done has been through a gym or a church so I can't help you with that. Sorry. Looking good!

Happy to be part of your journey Megan. Love the phrase "becoming more clearly myself". That's a perfect way to put what we'll be doing. Though finding your life's purpose in 30 days? Tall order. I can assure a good head's start at least! ;)

I agree with Kyla! Grabbing a DVD works really well because you can kind of get your feet wet, but I'd definitely sign up for a beginner class or ten, because the instruction you get from a teacher is amazing. They'll offer physical adjustments that will help make sure your alignment is safe and correct. Focus more on strength and less on flexibility - that will come as the muscles strengthen :) Shoot me an email whenever if you have other questions! And I'm super excited about The Joy Equation - I'm doing that too!

Love the progress! For yoga, I totally recommend getting a good DVD so you can practice at home- but if you've never done it before, hit up a few classes (normal yoga, not hot mecca-endurance yoga). The personalized instruction you can get is priceless- and it can keep you from doing yourself more harm than good.

Good luck!
