We returned from our trip to the Smokies Sunday evening. Let me tell you, the cabin was amazing. I was glad to come home, though; I had missed Loki.
Currently…
Excited about: My classes. So far, so good. Like I said before, I’m taking three online classes. Organization is key here; luckily, I feel ahead of the game.
Worried about: The upcoming outage at work. I have a feeling it’s going to stress me out. Luckily, it’s only supposed to last around a month.
Reading: Google Reader at the moment. Other than that, I’m reading one hundred pages in my Child Growth & Development book; twenty pages in my Literature book; and nine lessons in my history book. Phew.
Creating: A new love for studying. Honestly.
Loving: My husband for being wonderful; my family for being supportive; my friends/blog friends for being there.
Hating: That today is seeming to last forever. I’ve been awake since 5:00 a.m., and it’s only 10:00 a.m. right now. Oy.
Wondering: About what to buy next for our home office. Desk: check. Bookshelf: check. So many more things to go.
Listening to: Office talk. Looking forward to listening to the new Ingrid Michaelson album when it arrives in my mailbox.
Watching: Nothing at this exact moment, but Husband and I are still watching all of the seasons of Gilmore Girls. We’ve slowed down a bit, so we’re halfway through season three right now.
Netflix-ing: Nothing. I actually don’t have an account. Maybe I should change that.

P.S. Today is my sister’s nineteenth birthday. They grow up so fast. (Also, since it’s the first of the month, that means my twenty-first birthday is exactly three months away.)

I’ve seen this meme on a few blogs* lately. Rather than stare at my grey cubicle wall for twenty minutes, I decided I’d take part in it.
I always…
-have my cell phone with me.
-question my choice in outfits every morning.
-fall asleep on my right side or stomach, facing the wall.
-watch King of the Hill and/or Family Guy before bed.
-wash my hair when I shower.
-look behind the shower curtain before closing the bathroom door. Just in case.
I sometimes…
-forget to take my birth control pill until hours after I should have.
-cry over nothing.
-wish I stayed in school.
-have paranoid feelings.
-want to blog after an argument with Husband, but I always talk myself out of it to protect our privacy.
-spend too much money on clothes.
-want a baby of my own.
-hate cheese. (Blame it on being lactose intolerant when I was a kid.)
I never…
-want to work in a fast food restaurant again. (My first job was McDonald’s for two years.)
-wish I could go back to high school.
-want to regret anything.
-leave for work in the morning without kissing Husband and saying, “I love you,” though he’s still asleep.
-let myself get too upset over something for too long.
*kyla roma, apricot tea, & oh, hello friend.

The winner of my Blogoversary Giveaway is Ellie! Thanks to everyone who entered! I wish I could give you all a beautiful journal! Don’t worry, though–there will be more giveaways in the future.
Everyone in the blogosphere has been doing the “Here & Now” pics, so I figured it was only a matter of time before I got tagged. Courtney ended up tagging me, so I took a picture (it’s cell phone quality, people) of myself. No makeup (I never even wear makeup), no photoshop. If you look close enough, you can even see that I’m breaking out a little on my chin. And yes, I have freckles. (Also, for some reason, my eyebrow looks really screwed up. Hah!)

The fun part? I get to tag some people so that we can see what they REALLY look like. I’m tagging: Jordyn, Je, Ellie, Alana, LiLu, Phampants, and anyone else who wants to do it (because I know a lot of the people on my blogroll are anonymous, so it’s hard to pick some).

I saw this over at Umm… Now what? & Not Your Plain Jane, so I decided to do it since I don’t really have anything better to say today.
Glamour magazine has a section titled “It’s Okay…” where they give things that it’s okay to do. So, here’s my list.

It’s okay to…
-shower the night before work just so you can sleep in that extra 20-30 minutes the next morning.
-twitter about things that aren’t really that important.
-”stalk” people on facebook. Hey, we all do it!
-blog while you should be working on a spreadsheet at work.
-marry young and decide not to have kids until several years down the road (I’m talking, like, five or six years here).
-cry for no reason at all, except that it just makes you feel so much better, even if you weren’t feeling “bad” in the first place.
-show up to work a little late and leave several minutes early.
-watch old episodes of Grey’s Anatomy for hours at a time.
-sleep in and stay in your pajamas on a Saturday.
-tell stories about your childhood, while laughing hysterically.
-go to bed early, even if it does make you feel old.
I’m thinking this could turn into a Friday thing? Maybe. Maybe not.
