It’s Okay Friday

Time for another random installment of “It’s Okay Friday”! It’s okay to…

-Plan to cook dinner every night of the week, but end up eating out instead. Hey, it happens.

-See two movies in one weekend. Most likely. Tonight, we’re going to see Prince of Persia (I think), and Sunday, I’m going with a friend to see Sex and the City 2!

-Complain every once in a while. Especially about how long the month of May has been.

-Change a few things up on the 101 in 1001 list. Because it’s mine and I can. Plus, I (sadly) won’t be able to take my cousin’s children places because they’re moving back to Florida tomorrow. Boo! So, those will have to be changed. Eventually.

-Be a little worried about having your wisdom teeth removed IN ONE WEEK because you’ve never had surgery before … and you’re slightly nervous about being sedated.

What are your “It’s Okays” for the week?

P.S. Have a great Memorial Day weekend, everyone! Three days off work is always something to celebrate, but let’s not forget what this holiday is all about!

It’s Okay Friday

It’s okay to…

-put up the Christmas tree on November 9th. Yes, we are now one of those people. We didn’t do it on purpose, though! We bought the tree with the intentions of putting it up in a couple weeks, right before Thanksgiving, but our excited got the best of us.

-plan a lunch date with an old best friend & not feel guilty about it! (My brother is staying with us this weekend, but I also really want to spend time with my friend, so Husband will be keeping little brother entertained.)

-want to spend close to $200 each on sibling for Christmas. Hey, I don’t have children of my own yet, and I adore my siblings. It doesn’t hurt that I have a decent paycheck. (I have too many ideas of what I’d like to get them, though!)

-drop everything you’re doing in the middle of the evening to spend some alone time with your significant other. Sometimes, it’s the one thing that will relieve the stress.

-purposely slow down on the Gilmore Girls-watching. We’re on season seven, disc three or four (I can’t remember), and I don’t want it to end wahhhh.

-plan a January trip to Florida, even if it’s not completely set in stone. My aunt, who is only eight years older than me, is having her first child in early January. She’s always been like an older sister to me, and since school doesn’t start until January 14th, I’m thinking of talking Husband into making a trip down there around January 8-11. I’m already looking at hotels. :crosses fingers:

-be a little upset that you’re working on Veteran’s Day Because I totally did, even though almost everyone was out of the office. I mean, my dad’s a Veteran! That should at least count for something, right?

So, tell me, what were your “It’s Okays” for the week?

P.S. Husband and I are going to a symphony tonight (Beethoven’s Symphony #7), and I’m excited. We went to a Tchaikovksy performance last month, and I enjoyed it!

It’s Okay Friday

I haven’t posted an “It’s Okay Friday” post in quite some time, so I figure today is as good as any day. It’s okay to…

-cook something new every night of the week, even if you have other things to do. (This week, I’ve made meatloaf, baked mac n cheese, chili, and homemade sugar cookies — all from the Pioneer Woman’s cookbook. Buy it.)
-eat chocolate every day. Hey, it was just Halloween.
-spend the majority of the day in bed (sometimes).
-watch Grey’s Anatomy and bawl your eyes out. (Don’t I always?)
-be a little upset that Husband and I are on the final season of Gilmore Girls. I don’t want it to be over.
-have dreams about said Gilmore Girls … and feel like you know them in real life. (Right?)
-let out a big, ugly cry (every once in a while).
-disappoint sometimes. You can’t be perfect.

What are your “It’s Okay’s” for the week?

It’s Okay Friday

As I’m writing this, I’m not in a very “It’s okay” mood. (I’m getting sick, and I hate when people plan out my weekends FOR me without consulting me until the last minute. No, it’s not Husband. Oh, that’s a story for another time.) I will continue, however. It might lift my spirits a bit.

It’s okay to…

-buy toys for Loki and spoil him a bit. I feel like he’s my child.
-not blog all week because you’ve been busy at work and you’d rather spend your time at home relaxing AWAY from the computer.
-be annoyed when you try to tweet in between meetings at work but twitter is down.
-eat spaghetti-o’s for lunch three days in a row. With meatballs.
-lay around all week after work.
-skip washing dishes for one day.
-wear a semi-dirty shirt to work … because you didn’t feel like doing laundry. (Okay, it wasn’t dirty. I wore it one other day without washing it, and it smelled fine.)
-watch Gilmore Girls every night of the week for two weeks. (We’re halfway through season two now. Oh, Husband actually loves it.)

What are your “It’s okays” for the week?
